Monaleo shows Megan Thee Stallion support: "I've always believed her"
Rapper Monaleo is making it clear that she is not straddling the fence when it comes to fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion and she stands firmly on Megan's side.
Monaleo threw her support behind Megan while being interviewed at MTV's Women In Rap event.
Megan has been receiving much hate and criticism following her claims against rapper Tory Lanez.
Megan accused Lanez of shooting her in the feet during an incident in 2020. Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for the crime. Megan has faced significant backlash and criticism following her accusations against Lanez, with his fans relentlessly attacking her online and even accusing her of lying.
Lanez continues to have substantial influence and friendships in the industry, making other artistes reluctant to show Megan support. Some artistes have voiced support for Lanez while others choose not to address the situation at all and remain neutral.
However, Monaleo didn't hesitate to voice her support for Megan.
"I've always believed her. I support her. I love her," she stated unequivocally during the on-stage interview.
"I just want to make that clear because people try to straddle the fence...it kinda gets political. They don't wanna be on this side, they don't wanna be on that side. I just wanna make it clear that I love Megan Thee Stallion."
"Oh, we believe Megan here at MTV," the host chimed in.
Monaleo later doubled down, sharing the clip of the interview with a caption saying "now stream Cobra", referring to Megan's new song.

Fans of both women reacted to Monaleo's comments calling her "a real one".
Monaleo has been one of the few of Megan's peers to speak up in her defense and show her support publicly.
Following Lanez' sentencing last year, she tweeted:
"So glad Megan got the justice she deserved. This is major for her and for every other black woman who has been taunted for speaking up about abuse and violence against them."
Megan also received some love from talk show host Claudia Jordan following the release of "Cobra".
Claudia tweeted "Claudia is Megan's best song ever! I haven't ever had a rap song make me feel what the lyrics of that song did. You did that Meg!!"
Cobra is the best song, video, concept and message I've witnessed in a very long time. A song hasn't made me FEEL like that one did/does in ages. @theestallion you really did your big one with that. Felt every single word and got emo several times. Praying you found peace ???

Even rap critic Joe Budden, who has had heavy criticism for Megan in the past, couldn't deny the impact of "Cobra."
Budden called the song "heat" and gave Megan props.
"Meg, yo! I ain’t gon’ lie to you. You absolutely went crazy on this," Budden said.
"If you don’t like this you hatin’."
The song was Megan's first solo single since her legal battle with Lanez.
In the emotional track, she addresses having depression, missing her deceased parents, alcoholism and being cheated on.
