Megan Thee Stallion hints at Pardison Fontaine cheating in new song "Cobra"
Megan Thee Stallion fans are speculating that the rapper's relationship with Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine ended due to Pardi's infidelity.
The rumors raged following the release of Megan's highly anticipated comeback solo single "Cobra", released last night.
In the song, Megan raps about catching someone cheating on her. She also talks about how she's struggling to deal with the pain and hurt.
In the song she says:
"Pulled up, caught him cheatin', gettin' his dick sucked in the same spot I'm sleepin. Lord, give me a break, I don't know how much more of this shit I can take."
Megan has not explicitly confirmed that the lyric is about Pardi but their relationship had been her most public and had fans branding them "relationship goals".
The pair broke up earlier this year following Megan's battle with rapper Tory Lanez who was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan in the foot.
In recent months, Megan has been linked to Belgian footballer Romelu Lukaku. Pardi recently went public with his relationship with Jamaican dancehall artist Jada Kingdom. Interestingly, Jada has supported and defended Tory Lanez leading to more criticism for Pardi.
The "Cobra" lyric has resulted in swarms of Megan's fans flooding the comment sections on Pardi's social media. Pardi has since restricted comments on his Instagram account, but he has not yet addressed the cheating rumors.
Fans are however throwing support behind Megan, noting that she took the brunt of the blame for the end of the relationship.
There was speculation that Pardi ended the relationship due to Megan's admission that she had a sexual relationship with Tory Lanez prior to the shooting incident.
Megan had said at the time that her partner had been "embarrassed" by the revelations about her previous sex life.
People originally believed this was the reason for their breakup and Megan endured a barrage of "slut-shaming".
Now, fans are praising her for her vulnerability and openness on the song where she also rapped about having depression and missing her deceased parents.
One fan tweeted:
"Megan Thee Stallion is so brave for sharing her story in this song. It's so important to talk about these things, and she's helping other people who have been through similar experiences."
Another fan tweeted:
"A lot of people can relate to this song. It doesn't matter how rich and famous and beautiful you are, depression can affect anyone. Mental health is important!"
