Lil Kim ridiculed for heavily-edited magazine cover photo,
says she did not approve it
Lil Kim being on Ebony magazine's 50th anniversary of hip-hop commemorative cover should be a positive celebratory moment.
Unfortunately the moment has devolved into drama after Lil Kim was mercilessly trolled over the heavily-edited cover photo.
As trolls bashed the rapper's appearance on the magazine cover, Ebony's photography director felt it necessary to chime in, resulting in a new wave of hate being sent Lil Kim;s way.
In a comment on social media, the photograher who goes by "keithmajor" on Instagram, placed the blame on Lil Kim.
"Man, she wanted to be in control of the retouching so this is what we got," he stated.
His comment prompted a fresh wave of ridicule for the rapper, with persons accusing her of hating her looks and unrealistically photoshopping the cover image.
Lil' Kim has however responded to the attacks, stating that she did not approve of the cover image.
In a post, Lil' Kim said she had expressed to Ebony magazine that the cover photo looked more like a painting than a photo. She said Ebony however went forward with the photo despite her reservations. She questioned whether the magazine had deliberately sabotaged her.
Lil Kim went on to share a comment from a fan who chided the critics for continuing to attack her about her looks.
Ebony has yet to respond to the controversy.
