Glorilla denies dissing Gangster Diciples after "dropping the rakes" in photo with Fivio Foreign
Glorilla is making it clear that she is not picking sides in the Woos vc Choos beef after a picture of her posing with rapper Fivio Foreign went viral.
In the picture, both she and Fivio were both throwing up some hand signs called "dropping the rakes."
The hand sign is meant to be an insult to the Choos, a New York based gang also known as the "Gangster Disciples".
Fivio claims allegiance to the Woo gang, which is a rival of the Gangster Diciples.
The Gangster Diciples sign is throwing up a "pitchfork" and their opps throw up a "rake" hand sign as a way to disrespect them.
Glorilla threw up the rakes sign, leading many to question whether she was now repping the Woos and taking shots at the Gangster Diciples.
The "Tomorrow" rapper however got wind of the controversy and took to her Facebook deny the rumors.
Glorilla said she had no idea what the sign meant at the time.
"I thought he was telling me to throw up his gang I did not know what it meant until after we took da picture," she stated.
It seems as though most rappers are affiliated with some gang or other but Glorilla does not want to be a part of that conversation.
This whole situation does bring up a bigger question, though. A lot of rappers are out here throwing up gang signs left and right. But do they really understand what they mean or who might take it as a diss?
Last April, rapper Rubi Rose also found herself in some hot water after people speculated on her involvment with gangs after seeing her throwing up different gang signs.
Rubi denied any gang involvement at that time saying she just likes throwing up gang signs because she thinks it's "cute".
