Sexyy Red recently sat with Billboard and discussed the complexities she faced concealing her pregnancy during her tour alongside Drake. She delved into the significant physical and emotional challenges being on tour had on her.

Expressing apprehension and hesitation in revealing her pregnancy, Sexyy Red highlighted fears about the potential shift in perception and treatment by others. 

Her concerns revolved around being viewed differently and skepticism over her capability to meet performance expectations. The rigors of a tour schedule, compounded by pregnancy-induced morning sickness and fatigue, presented a formidable challenge.

"I was scared to tell anyone I was pregnant. I didn’t want to be treated differently or have people think I couldn’t do my job because I was pregnant. It was hard to keep up with the demands of touring while also dealing with morning sickness and fatigue.But the hardest part was feeling like I had to keep this huge secret from everyone. It hurt."

The artist behind the hit "Pound Town," featured on the cover of Billboard and in a video interview published on Tuesday (January 9), spoke about her experience. 

She described the difficulty of performing while concealing her pregnancy, a task made harder as she tried to hide her growing belly.

"I was pregnant on the Drake tour and the Moneybagg [Yo] tour but nobody knew. People started suspecting it on the Drake tour because there was videos and pictures of me coming out. That’s the only reason I was hiding it because I just wanted me and my family and friends to know"

Despite facing these obstacles, Red remained committed to her tour responsibilities with Drake, demonstrating her determination.

"I didn’t want to let anyone down. I wanted to prove that I could still do my job and be a mother at the same time."

Not only did Sexyy finish the tour, but continued to do shows after the tour was over, recording more music, and videos.

She even had a photoshoot and made a music video from her hospital room after having her baby.
