Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, J.Cole, and Drake are headlining the nominations for Artist of the Year at the 2024 XXL Awards, which kicked off this Monday.

Other contenders for Artist of the Year include Killer Mike, Travis Scott, and Lil Uzi Vert, with the Best New Artist category featuring up-and-comers like Sexyy Red, Destroy Lonely, Finesse2tymes, Central Cee, Teezo Touchdown, Lola Brooke, and Rob49.

Over the course of the week, 255 prominent figures from the music industry will deliberate over 11 categories at the XXL Awards, leaving the 12th category, The People’s Champ, in the hands of fans.

The People’s Champ award has a roster of 20 nominees, including big names such as 50 Cent, 21 Savage, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Ice Spice, and Latto.

Categories range from Album, Song, Lyricist, and Performer of the Year to Video, Producer, Male Rapper, Female Rapper of the Year, and even an accolade for Hip-Hop's Humanitarian of the Year.
