The conversation kicked off with congratulations on Lady London's new project "S.O.U.L.". Clarifying that it's not an album but a project, Lady London expressed gratitude for the recognition of her hard work.
Rapper Maino, who was guest hosting along with Yee, had this to say to London.-
"Congratulations though cuz I know how hard you worked on that. We watched your grind, we watched it, you know people was looking even though you think we wasn't, we saw you coming up those freestyles and I know how important it is you know to finally get a deal, major, and finally be able to be in a position to put out a project so congrats to that yes cuz so many artists come from here and don't even get the opportunity"
Confirming the project revolves around the different zodiac signs. Lady London shared her views on astrology, emphasizing the compatibility between water signs like hers (Cancer) and earth signs like Virgo. She highlighted the positive aspects of being a Cancer, describing them as nurturing and intuitive individuals. The conversation playfully touched on compatibility in relationships, with Lady London revealing her affinity for Scorpios.
Yee asked, "So you believe in that?"
To which London replied, "yeah I believe that it governs your temperament, I don't like swear by it but I do think it has certain characteristics that define you."
When asked who she was most compatible with, as a sign when it comes to the opposite sex in relationships or in friendships she simply answered...
"Scorpio"
They also touched on her education where London talked about being sent to an all-girls Catholic school by her mother.
"I was like a little rebellious, I was fighting a lot I was getting into a lot of trouble and my mom was like I got something for you"
She went on to say,
"But I'm glad I'm so grateful for it because I don't think I would have went on to get my degrees and things like that because I literally was a hothead as a kid"
London would later attend Howard University where she would double major in sports medicine and chemistry. She explained further when Yee asked what got her into Science.
"I've always wanted to be a doctor since I was a kid and science has always come very very natural to me, school has just always come very natural like I was a bad kid on the behavior side and like a really smart kid academically, which is why my mom tried to challenge me a little bit more, I think growing up. But yeah I always liked science, so I double majored in sports medicine and chemistry at Howard, and then I went on to get my masters at USC for Global Medicine, and International Health Policy, so I was like really on a track to go you know on the medicine route."
London discussed growing her followers on her own while posting weekly freestyles.
"It was just freestyles for a long time I hadn't put out any music at all it was just freestyles but I was consistent in it because I grew my following from 9,500 people to 1.2 million organically, on my own by just putting out freestyles every week, I had this thing called lady lunday that I did every Monday for like six months so like I would drop freestyles every Monday for like 6 to 9 months at a time and each one of them was like catching fire and it was just it was a type of Cosign that came behind that"
Later on in the interview, Yee brought up BET's Hip Hop Awards Cypher, where London shared -
"I was so nervous I cried after that Cypher a lot of people don't know that"
She goes on to say
"I was stressed out. I called my mom crying I was like yo it's probably the worst freestyle I ever did I'm so mad I swear I was so aggravated cuz I just felt like I wasn't in Pocket"
